About Me
I am a recent graduate from the architecture program at the University of Southern California. During the last several years, I have combined my artistic background and scientific thought into an intriguing career path, which I plan on pursuing at a critical and progressive architecture firm. My current goal is to obtain a full-time position in an innovative architecture firm that will provide me with opportunities for personal and professional enrichment and to advance my progress in the intern development program. I recently received my LEED Accreditation in June of 2009.

Experience
I currently work at HMC Architects in downtown Los Angeles as an Architectural Designer. I previously worked at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, LLP in San Francisco, and during my employment, which took place during the summers of 2007 and 2008, I developed a pragmatic basis for the design aspirations that I have formed throughout my education at USC. Working in a challenging office environment allowed me to apply notions of tectonics, constructability, and cost to complement my design concepts.

Architectural Interests
During the past few months, I have pursued the opportunity to broaden my skills as an architecture student through emerging technologies that deal with notions of structural performance and its influence on environmental performance. These ideas have led me to explore the possibilities of computer applications such as CATIA, ParaCloud, Grasshopper, Processing, and Revit. I hope to enhance my understanding of design through traditional means, with which I have grown familiar with during my time at USC, but also through progressive techniques employed by the most innovative architects today. The field of architecture must embrace the trends of technology while yielding an inherent desire to design spaces through detailing and materiality as well.

Other Interests
During my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, playing the cello, playing basketball, hiking, drawing, wheel throwing ceramic wares, cooking, visiting new cities, and reading design blogs.

Special thanks to the great design instructors I've worked with at USC.
