Material House Prototype
This project takes in the material investigation methodologies of the previous exercises to engage the design of an affordable prototype single-family residence in South Central Los Angeles. The prototype is designed for 9 sites along Exposition Blvd. Particular emphasis is placed on material tectonic and how it relates to a structural performance and aesthetic quality. The design is an adaptable system which deals with repetition, aggregation, exposures, and is re-systematized at each location.
