Hollywood Mediatheque
A mediatheque is a node or hingepoint that integrates the notion of digital technology with traditional social ideas in order to create interactivity within members of the immediate community and beyond. It must have both permanent and flexible elements to keep pace with technology and promote cross-interaction between different generations. The premise of the design is to provide a multi-functional space that uses a video display attached to the structure to broadcast images and videos. This creates the experience of absorbing information atmospherically - information technology is an aura that overwhelms the senses, resulting in the phenomenon of spectacle.
