Cartesian House
The Cartesian project demonstrates the concept of openness and enclosure through programmatic relationships. The program spaces are juxtaposed through formal manipulations of carving out of the site and hovering volumes above the site. The grid is defined through negative space by allowing the building components to fall just outside the lines of the Cartesian.
